I'm so excited!

When I first started rubber stamping 12+ years ago, one of the first brands of rubber stamps that I fell in love with was Amuse.
So, that is why I am so excited to announce that I have just become an Independent Consultant for Amuse Studio.
If you would like to learn more about Amuse Studio products or if you would like to schedule a workshop with me, send me an email to glitterandglue@comcast.net
I am also planning on holding monthly workshops in my home, so if you're interested in joining in the fun, please let me know.

Here is a birthday card that I made recently for my cousin Alex's 60th birthday.

I can't believe how quickly fall is arriving in New England. We've already had a couple of trees turn color and lose their leaves, in our back yard. I hope everyone enjoyed the hot summer as much as I did.

I haven't been crafting all summer, I really wasn't inspired. I've been working in a small space for a few years now, that seems to get smaller everyday and found that I didn't enjoy the space anymore and didn't really want to spend any time in it.
My husband asked if it could be, because I keep buying new stamps and supplies and I've got no place to put them? Of course not! I would never buy too many!!!

So, currently we have two guest rooms in our home and I have decided to take one of them over as my very own craft room. When I was away in Rhode Island last weekend, my husband decided to surprise me and clean out the whole room and begin building my work island. WooHoo!!! He's really making some good progress, so, I'm going to stay out of his way and let him do his thing! I should be in the room in the next two weeks. I am so excited to finally have a whole space to myself. I will take some pictures and keep you posted on the progress.

Have a wonderful weekend

Birthday Card for Lilly

Sorry, the birthday card and milk carton gift box picture didn't show up on my last post. Here it is.

Spring has sprung!

I'm so happy that spring has finally arrived! All of the bulbs are coming up and the forsythia bushes are blooming. I just love the colors of spring.

Can you believe that Easter has already come and gone? We've already had an 85 degree day here in New England. Today it seems to be overcast and a bit chilly. Gotta love this New England weather.....one minute we're wearing shorts and t-shirts and the next, we have our fleece jackets on! LOL

I've been absent from blogging for some time now, but, I'm trying to make the effort to get back into the swing of things. I've been card making and paper crafting the whole time. It's just that, when I make something it either goes right into the mail or I have to give it as a gift right away. I've been working two jobs for 6-7 months and everything I make has been last minute, which doesn't usually give me time to post. So, here are a few things that I made last week.

This bunny box is something that I made for each place setting at Easter Dinner. I used my big shot die to cut out the boxes and then the bunny is made using my SU punches.

The birthday card is for my Niece, Lilly's birthday using my new clear set of stamps from SU and the little milk carton which held a Pandora charm for her charm bracelet was made using my Big Shot again. I just love the little milk carton die.

Thanks for visiting and Happy Spring Everyone!!!

Back from vacation

Hello
I'm back from vacation. We left last friday and went to my mother's house up in Hillsboro, NH.. Then Neil surprised me and took me up to the White Mountains for a couple of days to my favorite resort for some relaxation time. It was a nice time and we couldn't have asked for better weather. The rest of this week we'll spend in our backyard by the pool. Hope you're all enjoying this hot weather. I'll take it, while I can get it!
This is a card that I threw together before we left and I forgot to post, before we left.

Happy Thursday Everyone!

Duckies!!!

Hi Y'all

I've taken quite a bit of time off from blogging, crafting & cardmaking, due to many personal issues. Like they say, "When it rains, it pours" and it's been pouring buckets on our family for months.

Speaking of "pouring".....it seems like it's been raining here in NH. forever! Believe it or not, it seems like our summer just started in mid-July. So, we've been trying to squeeze in some pool time and depending on whether it rains or not, we'll try to throw together last minute BBQ's on the weekends. Today, it's cloudy & muggy, but I hope it brightens up this afternoon.

I recently hosted a baby shower for my nephew and his new bride. The theme was rubber duckies. So appropriate, for the weather we've been having. I made the invitations, the centerpiece and also took a shot at my first diaper cake. The centerpiece doubled as the favors...it's individual cake boxes filled with candy, stacked to form a cake.

I'm working on a card today and some thank you notes....I'll post them tomorrow.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!!

Favors & Invitations

I hope everyone is enjoying their Spring so far. It's nice to see all the kids playing outside again, riding their bikes and running around their yards. I know that I've been spending alot more time outside myself. It's been a long, hard winter and sometimes I feel like a grizzly bear that's come out of a long winter's hibernation. Can you believe that it's Easter weekend? Summer is just around the corner, I can feel it!
I've been keeping busy with party favors and invitations. Not much time for card making.
I re-made the favors for my nieces wedding shower and here they are. The first sample was too large...it would have fit 10+ Ghirardelli chocolate squares and the new version fits just 3 squares. Big difference in cost. It would have been almost $200. for just the chocolate and who can afford that right now!
Also, I've been asked to make some favors for a wedding and these are what I've come up with for the bride to choose from.....Let me know what you think? Which one would you pick???

The last project I've been working on is some invitations for a bridal shower. Her colors are black with an accent of sage. I found it difficult to work with these colors, but, I was pleased with how the invitations came out.....so was my client. (I'll post these when they're finished)

Happy Easter & Passover to everyone.......I hope the Easter Bunny is good to you all!!! Thanks for looking.
